Mads Henrik Moxness

Mads Henrik Strand Moxness is a double board-certified ENT and Facial plastic & reconstructive surgeon and works at Aleris Hospital in Trondheim.  He has a doctoral thesis in biomechanics of the upper airways and also holds a position as a researcher at NTNU Department of neuromedicine and movement science. Outside his academic and professional work, he has a soft spot for dogs, in particular his own labrador retriever, and loves doing woodwork and carpentry that sometimes results in functional outdoor furniture. He is the current President of the Norwegian association of ambulatory surgery (NORDAF).

Mariann Aaland

Mariann Aaland, Head of Day Surgery unit Akershus University Hospital since 2023. Intencive care nurse, working with Day Surgery in different roles since 1996. Member of IAAS GA since 2014, and IAAS ExCo since 2017. Past president of the Norwegian association.

Bjarte Askeland

Bjarte Askeland is a Consultant Anesthesiologist at Haukeland University Hospital, working mainly with Orthopedic Patients. He has also worked in rural areas, for the Armed Forces in Afghanistan and for the Norwegian Emergency Medical Team in Samoa, Lesvos and Haiti. He is the current President of the Medical Society in Bergen and a Board Member for the Norwegian association of ambulatory surgery (NORDAF).  He has a particular interest in good Music, fine Wines and quality Food that keeps him busy in his leisure time.

Eli Lundemo Øieren

Eli Lundemo Øieren is a Intensiv care nurse for Day surgery at Innlandet Hospital in Elverum. Has more than twenty years experience in day surgery.

Has worked in different departments : Intensiv care unit, Emergency department and Cardiac department. She has also worked with research.

Eli has been a Board Member and cashier of the Norwegian Association of Ambulatory Surgery ( NORDAF) for 14 years.

Besides work she enjoy all physical activities in mountain, forrest and sea. She likes doing handycraft and to spend time with her four beautiful grandchildren.

Stein Roald Bolle

Stein Roald Bolle is an anesthesiologist and the former medical head of the Day surgery department at the northernmost university hospital in the world, The University Hospital of North Norway. In his PhD he focused on video communication and improvements in health care. Currently he is the medical head of the Division for Surgery and Intensive Care in his hospital, and has a special interest in effectiveness and quality of perioperative care. He has a background in computer science, and loves software development in his spare time, if not mountain hiking or boating in the vicinity of Tromsø.

Ann Bergtun

Ann Bergtun. Department Manager for Day surgery at Vestfold Hospital Trust, in Tønsberg.

Has more than twenty years’ experience in day surgery and surgical nursing.

Special areas of interest are patient logistics, including effective flow and quality care, nursing education and leadership.

Outside work she enjoy spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities and reading.

Hege Rolstad Skjæveland

Hege Rolstad Skjæveland, Head of Day Surgery unit at Stavanger University Hospital (SUS) since 2018. She has been working as Operating Room nurse, and in several leadership roles at the hospital. Hege has been a Board Member for the Norwegian association of ambulatory surgery (NORDAF) since 2019.  Outside hospital she enjoy mountain hiking with her Alaska husky, different kinds of skiing and gardening.

Monica Strømme Hermanrud

Monica Strømme Hermanrud is a Consultant gynaecologist at Akershus University Hospital, AHUS since 2013. Her main interest is benign gynaecological surgery. She has managed the  general gynaecology group in the Women’s Clinic since 2019. Monica is the editor for the Norwegian association of ambulatory surgery journal.

She loves great foods and wine, together with friends and family.

Dr. Jackson

Dr Jackson is an anaesthetist who has served as President of The British Association of Day Surgery and the International Association of Ambulatory Surgery. His interests include the use of IT in medicine, and he spent his later years supporting the development and safe implementation of IT across several hospitals.

Marie-Louise Ulsøe

Marie-Louise Ulsøe, Nurse and Boardmember

Clinicovner, self-employed nurse, reflexologi terapist and adviser. Boardmember, management, presenter, teacher.

Have been working in Ambulatory Surgery since 1995 and helped started Ambulatory Surgery at two hospitals in Denmark and have developed the perioperative section in two hospitals. A section which has been developed after inspiration from the Ambulatory Surgery.
Has been a manager for 23 years. From 2000 until 2008 at various levels and since 2008 – 2023 as chief nurse.

Teach on the Perioperative Education in the Central Denmark Region.
